NJIT values its faculty and staff and wants to provide an environment to facilitate a high level of satisfaction, positive well being, and professional growth in alignment with our strategic plans.
This May we will participate in the Best Places to Work in NJ Survey again. The survey consists of likert-scale questions that measure the current state of the faculty and staff experience. The survey also includes open-ended questions for faculty and staff to provide feedback on areas for improvement. The survey will run from May 12, 2023 to May 26, 2023. The survey is anonymous and we encourage all full time faculty and staff to participate.
The previous survey results assisted in the creation of multiple initiatives requested by the community. Results and outcomes can be viewed below.
The Best Places to Work in NJ Survey was available online from May 14 to May 28, 2021 and asked faculty and staff to rate statements using a likert-scale in the following categories: Overall Employee Satisfaction, University Leadership, Culture and Communications, Role Satisfaction, Work Environment, Relationship With Immediate Supervisor, Training/Development and Resources, Pay and Benefits, and Overall Employee Experience. The survey also included open-ended questions for participants to provide feedback on what makes NJIT a desirable place to work and what can be done to improve the employee experience. Responses were completely anonymous.

NJIT has piloted a Summer Fridays Compressed work week, this schedule allows for eligible employees to work an extended work day Monday through Thursday with Fridays off. This years pilot is scheduled from May 22, 2023 through August 18th. More details can be found here.
