Employee and Labor Relations
Employee and Labor Relations (E&LR) is committed to promoting an effective, fair, and professional work environment at NJIT through providing advice, guidance and direction to employees, supervisors and leadership on a wide range of employee and labor relations matters. The E&LR team also partners with University leadership and supervisors to develop and administer HR strategies which support the University’s mission and strategic initiatives. Key functions include:

Talent Management
Talent Management is responsible for hiring highly competent people who align with NJIT’s mission and values and helping them achieve their vast potential. We aim to accomplish this through integrated talent acquisition, onboarding, talent development, workforce planning, and succession planning processes that are aligned with NJIT’s strategic goals. Key functions include:
- Advising leaders on workforce planning and employee engagement strategies
- Collaborating with managers on the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of top talent
- Facilitating new hire, faculty and adjunct orientation
- Providing training and development opportunities for faculty and staff
- Managing performance management and employee recognition programs

Total Rewards aims to attract and retain superior faculty and staff by providing a comprehensive compensation and benefits package, designed to help you and your family.
