Forty-five acres of innovation and excitement — that’s the NJIT campus. Have you seen it lately? We’ve added a new building per year, on average, for the last two decades—most recently the Central King Building (formerly Central High School). Our residence halls have allowed more students than ever before to live on campus, in a community that’s intense but friendly, passionate about learning, and proud of its geeky coolness.
Getting to NJIT is easy from just about anywhere, especially anywhere in New Jersey or New York City. Once you’re here, we encourage you to take a campus tour, soak up some sun in the rooftop gardens, check out our classrooms and research facilities, or stroll through the libraries. If you have time, you might even venture off campus to see what’s new in Newark.
We’re proud of our facilities, but the most important part of our campus is its people. Wander around for a while and you might come upon students clearing their minds in an intramural volleyball game, testing their skills at the annual video game development expo, or working out tunes on the Campus Center’s baby grand. Time your visit just right and you could catch a Highlanders home game or a performance at the Jim Wise Theatre. To find out what’s happening now, see the events calendar.
No matter what you decide to do while here, we’re glad you decided to visit!
