We're Moving!
The Human Resources Division is excited to announce our relocation to NJIT’s new Administrative Center at 494 Broad Street. After months of planning, we are pleased to share that we will be fully operational in our new space beginning March 24, 2025.
We want to ensure a smooth transition and provide you with important information on how to access HR services during this period.
How to Access HR Services During and After the Transition
All HR services will remain fully available except during the transition closure from March 19-21 (detailed below). Faculty and staff can continue to reach us via:

Meeting with an HR Team Member
- Virtual Meetings:
Our team will continue to offer virtual consultations. If you are unsure who to contact, please submit a general inquiry via Highlander Nexus or call 973-596-3140, and we will connect you with the appropriate HR representative.
- On-Campus Meetings:
HR will maintain a limited on-campus presence even after our move to meet the needs of the NJIT community. While a permanent space is being identified, HR will be available Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. in Fenster Hall Suite 500. Our on-campus team can assist with common HR inquiries and direct you to the appropriate HR personnel.
- In-Person Visits to the Administrative Center:
Starting March 24, 2025, we will be available to meet with members of the NJIT community at our new office location. Additional details, including directions, parking information, and scheduling procedures, can be found below.
Transition Closure: March 19-21, 2025
To facilitate the move, HR services will be temporarily unavailable from March 19-21, 2025 while our office is packed, transported, and set up at 494 Broad Street. During this period, we may experience intermittent disruptions.

Administrative Center Access
Located at 494 Broad Street, Newark, NJ 07102, the Administrative Center is an approximately 10-13 minute walk from Fenster Hall. NJIT partners with Rutgers to provide an easy and free shuttle service between the NJIT campus and the 494 Broad Street location.
When using GPS, it is recommended that you use 570 Atlantic St, Newark, NJ 07102, as the address to access the parking garage. NJIT has 300 dedicated parking spaces on the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th floors. NJIT employees can use their identification cards to “tap” and enter the garage entrance. Once you reach the 5th floor, you again tap to enter our dedicated parking area. Please drive slowly in the parking garage and obey the recommended speed limit for your safety and the safety of others. Non-NJIT-affiliated visitors will be responsible for paying for parking via the kiosks within the garage.All NJIT employees with an NJIT ID card will have access to the parking deck for the purposes of meeting with HR staff. While walk-in visits are welcome, scheduling appointments is highly encouraged to ensure the proper HR team member is available to meet with you at the time of your visit.
